Cruising offers many options from the very large ocean cruises to the new Small Expedition Ships and Luxury Small Ship cruises that cruise many destinations around the world.
In line with the philosopy of SmallGroup Travel, small ship cruising allows you to travel with a small group of likeminded travellers. In addition you are able to travel to areas that the larger ships cannot access. In Alaska, SmallGroup Travel clients have kayaked close to whales and viewed bears from the deck of their small ship cruise as the captain takes a detour to get even closer to the wild life sightings-something that the larger cruise ships cannot do!
Closer to home, it is possible to be treated to a champagne in a remote area as you cool off after an invigorating walk to view ancient indigenous rock art that would otherwise be inaccessible. You can cruise along the amazing Kimberley Coast getting up close to King George Falls in zodiacs and witness the massive tidal drops at Montgomery Reef.
What better destination than South America for a small ship experience of the Galapagos Islands where nature still remains unspoilt and visitor numbers are limited! The destinations are endless!
Each destination has its season. Alaska is best cruised from June to late September. Kimberley is best cruised from April till September. Galapagos can be cruised anytime but it is good to visit the Galapagos in the warmer times from January till April (22-31 C).
